ArcticTropic is now planning 2015 journeys. Three trips are shown here. The first , in February is to Southeastern Australia. The longest flight will be from San Francisco to Sydney – about 15 hours. In March – off to the Polar Regions of Iceland. September – Puerto Varas in Chilean Patagonia for the ATTA Summit. Several other ventures are in planning stage.
2014 was a busy travel year for ArcticTropic. In all, we travelled an equivalent of more than twice around the world. The voyage to Myanmar in March ,via Frankfurt and Singapore was to the opposite side of the world and back the same route. In May and June we travelled in a continuous Eastbound direction until we ended up back where we started. In contrast, the 2.5 hour hop to Panama was a mere commuter flight.
Cold Northern winds blowing over the tropical Gulf Stream kick up the waves in South Florida.
Next week ArcticTropic departs from Miami to Moscow – then on to Siberia, Mongolia,China, Japan and British Columbia
Now at Yangon Airport enjoying the fastest wifi connection in Myanmar.Singapore Airlines is rumored to have wifi on their A380s though it did not work on the flight to Germany and Singapore. A quick representation of destinations since the GoPro was acquired less than a year ago. Featured : USA,Mongolia,South Africa,Namibia,China. Music will now accompany most videos.
In 2013 ArcticTropic swam in three of the five oceans – Atlantic,Pacific and Indian. They will all be immersed in again before mid ’14. The Arctic and Southern Oceans are more of a challenge to get to and to swim in , but we will get to both soon.
Today ArcticTropic returns to the United States aboard Lufthansa via Frankfurt. Total trip time 25:30 with five hours in Frankfurt. Double – Decker A 380s all the way.

For the next 15 hours, snugly in Seat 52A ,lots of reading was accomplished. There’s not much to see as the flight is almost entirely over water. Some lights were seen below a gigantic thunderstorm in the middle of the night over Liberia,Guinea, or Sierra Leone. The last 2 hours is over Namibia, Botswana and then South Africa.
African Sunrise.
Southern Hemisphere Spring. THe temperature was only a few degrees warmer than chilly New York, but the foliage is very different,

Last week ArcticTropic headed to San Francisco on business – to explore financial opportunities that will allow us to expand exponentially. Since natural beauty abounds everywhere – it was easy to get great footage without traveling too far from the various meeting places.
Coming back into the City from Marin County at sunset. September is summer in the Bay Area – the normal cold grey cloak of fog lifts for a couple of months, allowing for spectacular views.
