It’s hard to find much video footage from Chad, other than fund raising type roll from relief agencies. The best aerial shots are provided by the French Air Force via YouTube. ArcticTropic has two links – neither of which are really providers of accommodations or adventure travel services. Obviously this nation is not on the top tourist circuit these days.
We welcome anyone who has recently ( past 5 years or so) traveled to Chad to share their experiences, suggestions of places to stay and video via YouTube.
Algeria – for those who choose not to let negative news reports deter them – is a true adventure paradise.ArcticTropic currently lists two destinations.
In Punto Tombo Patagonia a penguin tries to pull at my shoelace. Punto Tombo, on the Peninsula Valdes, about 1000 miles south of Buenos Aires, is home to 400,000 penguins. The climate is not Antarctic here – in fact it is barren scrub desert along the cold Atlantic. In the winter (May to September) the penguins swim north to Brazil, staying at sea most of the time. Arctic Tropic lists several expeditions to this area – click on South America and go right away to the Argentine listings.
